Congratulations to Pete Archer of Maizeing Acres on his recent purchase of another 105' diameter x 30 ring bin to be built in 2012! This large commercial bin has a total storage capacity of 652,373 bushels, and an eave height of over 80'.
Horst Systems supplied a similar bin in 2011, and look forward to working with Pete again in the construction of this additional storage. With this latest expansion, Archer's total capacity for the 2012 season will be two million bushels.

These are exciting times at Maizeing Acres!
We have begun the concrete work; the pads for the new dryer and wet bins have been poured, and we'll be starting on the pad for the new 105' bin shortly!

Congratulations to Fred Mattice from Hagersville on his expansion plans for 2012!
LF Mattice Farms has recently ordered two additional 75-25 bins for their wheat storage operation.
These 75' diameter tanks have a total capacity of 273,322 bushels each. With this addition, Mattice will have four of these bins ready for wheat storage in 2012, providing a total capacity of over one million bushels. Horst Systems built the original Mattice system in 2011, and will be starting on these new tanks in early June.

Lloyd Kuepfer and the commercial bin crew started building the 105' x 30 ring bin at Maizeing Acres this week, and made excellent progress!

Foreman Lloyd Kuepfer and the commercial bin crew have been making excellent progress at Maizeing Acres!
They began construction of this 105' x 30 ring commercial bin on May 7, and as you can see, they are nearing completion.
When finished, the bin will have a capacity of over 650,000 bushels, and a peak height of 109'.
We salute Lloyd and his hard-working team!

We are excited about the opportunity to work with Broadgrain in their most recent project. This development includes a 12,000 Bu/Hr unloading pit and main leg, two 24' x 22 ring wet bins, a 4,000 Bu/Hr wet leg, and four new 72' x 28 ring bins.
Excavation began on Thursday, July 19, and the crews have made excellent progress! See the images below for a visual update on our progress!

Mac Ferguson Farms Ltd. near St. Thomas is expanding their drying and storage capacity. This project includes the construction of a new 3,000 BPH tower dryer, and a 60' diameter x 21 ring bin, providing an additional 146,344 bushels of storage.
The expansion also includes the extension of the existing wet leg, a new 4,000 BPH elevator, an 18' x 9 ring overhead shipping bin, and two 4,000 BPH grain cleaners.
